I re-acquired this hammer, 25 years after I lent it to my now, late, brother. The magnet in the groove holds a nail for initial placement, then hit (and bend) as usual.

HP 255 G9 8GB RAM, expandable to 32, 512GB SSD, Intel core i5, 2.4/4.4 GHz
Around 500 euros spreaded in 12 months

They are just (hopefully) matched blocks which are square and parallel and 1" by 2" by 3" with a series of tapped and clearance holes.
You can use them for spacing off parts, or bolt them together or to other things in various configurations for making jigs and fixtures or setting up for different machining operations.

Really just a handy reference and spacer dimensioned in convenient multiples which you can stack up and bolt things to as required.

Thanks for that, I think I may need them for the future.

I also acquired a third dog this evening, it's his ninth birthday today, Rover, part of our dog family, which went to our ex neighbour, who's 82, and has totally lost the plot, fallen over and been hospitalised sadly.

Since he became aggressive with my wife we broke off contact with him, but there was a long standing agreement, if ever he was unable to look after the dog we'd take care of it, so we stand by that, the fat, spoilt, bastard dog who has always slept on its owners bed is in for some suprises, and a diet, hope it doesn't whinge all night, like last time, ended up locking it in the bathroom, it destroyed the bathroom door. Not loving this.
