Its still in the van but I bought some shackles for lifting it out yesterday, just have to find the big castors and make a frame for it to sit on.Never mind the drama getting it out of the van ...
MOT is due soon I assume wit will be ok in the back?

IMO As long it is not a dangerous loose load or overloading the van it should be fine for the MoT.
However I defer to the various MoT Testers we have here e.g. @premmington

Driving my Punto again since yesterday evening.
So mechanic replaced the timing pulley.
But said me it was ok, the belt some how came out which is strange if not impossible.
Because it was always seated correctly on the pulleys .
So it's very hard to understand how this happened.
The only possible cause is the belt tensioner but again how it managed to slip off the pulley and go out of timing by a good half turn on the camshaft is a mystery.
Engine warning light always on .
Car runs fine but not so much at lowest rpm
Goes up to temperature easier than ever but doesn't overheat.

I've been fettling the Kawasaki Mule that I bought a couple of weeks ago.
The plastic wheel arches were deformed as the brackets had been bent. I had to drill out some of the fixings to get the arches off so I could straighten the brackets. Mist drilled out ok, but a couple were sods and needed the threads repairing so bought an M6 helicoil kit from Tracy tools. I'm replacing the random M6 bolts/screws with black stainless hex socket flsnge bolts and washers while I'm at it.
While I was looking for a few spares, I chsnced upon a new old stock hydraulic bed lift for a Mule 4010, but the petrol not diesel version. As the missus has no chance of lifting the tipping bed while empty, never mind full of mulch, I took a chance guessing that I should be able to modify it to fit the diesel. If not, I'm sure I will find a use for a self contained 12v hydraulic ram
It also comes with cables, relay switch and all fixings.
Taking a quick look, I think the reason it is not listed as being for the diesel, is either the CVT gearbox housing getting in the way, and/or the proximity to the exhaust pipe.
I placed the bracket roughly in position, it uses U bolts to fix it to chassis tubes top and bottom, you can't see the top tube, it's behind a bit of plastic. Having a quick measure up, it looks like it will miss the gearbox housing, and I can put another bit of shielding on the exhaust. I'll have to do a full dry fit and try it out with some power to see if I have to do other mods. The pivot for the ram is about level with the uppermost gearbox housing bolt you can see below. I'll need a bit off clearance to allow for movement in the engine mounts.

More Ego garden tools. This time the ST1610-E Strimmer. Some may remember I previously bought the Milwaukee M18 Strimmer, absolutely nothing wrong with it but decided to keep all the garden power tools the same brand and take advantage of their impressive 56V battery system.
Milwaukee sold and Ego purchased. Surprisingly even lighter than the Milwaukee but doesn’t look it and the power is very impressive. One of the best features is the automatic line feed so no more bump feed just constant cutting. There is also a powered line installer but not had the chance to try that yet.
Testing it out on the overgrown grass verge, owned and now not maintained by the council, it whizzed through it very quickly so much I got carried away and did the neighbours sides too.

This is the Italian equivalent of the "Machinist Hand Book"
It contains illustrations, various table charts , with tolerances, how to perform X job on X machine , cutters speeds ,nomenclatures and what lubricant to use .
Obsolete,not updated, but certainly suits my needs (having something to read after dinner and take a look whenever needed ) .
That's manual machining,no dro ,no electronics,no CNC machines.
It's a 1950's edition.
Planning to buy more of those books but updated to our days .
Essentially an updated version of this one .
Then another one about hydraulics which is a nice reading too .
One about metallurgy .
And so on .
