been done that but mines a 1970 house and plasterboard ceilings but the amount of dust and small rubish that was in there thankfully i was doing the whole kitchen at the same time so the room was empty

We had 4 royal mail posties today! One item from each! 16mm en16m bars I ordered in december, which were resent by Evri mid Jan was one of them, 26 days to arrive - and now needs to be returned !
Replacement tank for the g372xp, quite fast sent from China
Some amazons! 7 quid each, digital micrometer head and clone MS180 engines. Might try to make one run, and have some ideas for the other.
Engines appear good quality however I dislike the idea of chromed spark plugs. Thats just asking to peel off and score the cylinder!

It is excessively shiny and sharp, looking like chrome but either way if a plug end rusts then you have bigger problems with the engine. Thin platings are not usually great when exposed to very high temperature cycling..

I received a cross support, I will make a milling device for a lathe. It’s a pity that the sliding is on a gear-rack pair and not a screw, but it is what it is.

Couple of foot of rope, looped around the lowest rung of the ramp and put under your tyre will stop them sliding away as you start to climb the ramp.

I've got a pair of ramps just like those - I remember my Dad using them to change the oil on his Morris 1300, and having several attempts to get the car up them, trying to balance out giving it enough power but not running over the end. I'm not sure either of my Vauxhalls would be OK on them, I did put one of my others on years ago and it took a big chunk out of the Richard Grant plastic front spoiler on the way down, I'd hate to do that to the fibreglass nosecone.

I use ramps now & again & always put a board from the ground onto the second rung. I have cut 2 pieces about 12 to 15 inches long to lessen the angle, this stops the front touching the ramps & also gets the weight onto the ramp & stops it sliding out. I hope this makes sense & have done it this way for years,

you might find the old ramps slightly to narrow for modern tyres , dependant on what you drive though , I fancy a pair of those that hydraulicaly lift , but a bit spendy

My dad used to loop a length of old carpet round the bottom "rung" to stop them skidding away when driving onto them.
I just stand the front half of them on some old rubber car mats - as soon as the wheel hits them, the weight stops them moving.
Years ago I was reversing my Westfield up a set . . . being rather light, it got part way up, then shot both ramps forward - drivers side stopped as the rear bar hit the tyre, the passenger side shot under and the nice untouched pristine fibreglass landed on it . . . the subsequent repair was nicely hidden by the silencer.
