I have a similar set now 14 yrs old ..... Found I had to de-burr all collets and the collet nut for they kept sticking . I filed each slot on all cut edges internal & external with a triangular swiss warding file used Brasso to fine grind the collet nut threads on the arbor for 100 on & off fittings , washed everything off in paraffin and lubed them up with WD40 . They now tighten up and loosen off like a dream .

Got this inexpensive piercing saw and 144 blades off ebay for £8.90. Its a nicely made thing it locks up solid with no play.
Haven't had a chance to put it to the test but ive no reason to think it wont be fine. Time will tell. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295103515434

More amazons. The 20mm threading bar and insert holder look as good as any other I have. I thought the W 08 inserts would be smaller, not sure how well my small lathe will run them.
