My gfs family recently bought a new top of the range gas barbeque. I noted it came with a Strange looking gas regulator.
It must be related to these new bottles then.

I still use strip board quite a bit, although with companies like JLCPCB offering such ridiculously low prices (e.g. for PCBs (as long as you're patient), it's often tempting to just knock a design up in KiCAD and send it to them.

Our main benefit is having the kit to hand along with enough stock and workshop machinery to turn around a prototype very quickly.
One of our best sellers has been adjustable power steering modules for rally cars. The prototype for that was turned around in under 24h which contributed in part to it's success. Similarly a big hydraulic shear went down locally, a couple of days was spent reverse engineering the wiring (actually in advance of this because it was being flaky) but then we made a PCB overnight and got it working within 48h.
Its just a way of working that works for us.

This AC DC Tig welder
Thing is the seller said it was broken. And the price was as such so I brought it home anyway
He was a nice guy and explained the fault was only on the pulse weld side. AC. That in use it started going between say 200amp and 180 amp.
He bought another TIG and this one sat until now.
It turns on etc AOK and I actually can see the AC pulse settings as having been set at 200 - 180 amps. Makes me wonder is there a fault I'll have to test it out this weekend. I bet there is a fault of course just that there is a small chance it could be a setting mix up I guess.
Parts are available from SIP so If I need to I can buy a new control board etc.

Stripped cleaned, with some fiddling set up. I had to machine the trigger step on the needle, couldn’t get the air to start before the needle lifting. Tested, works really nice. I’m strictly an amateur, but a gun that does what you expect is good.

A fridge for the van, only problem is it has a dent in the front door, messaged seller through Amazon (that's a ball ache) and they offered a £60 refund if we kept it. No thanks so packaged up and returned
Replacement fridge arrived and that too was damaged in transit
Messaged seller again, they replied with it doesn't affect its operation, could we get it installed and confirm its working and if it was would we accept a £60 refund
