I was in Lidl this evening and spotted their 20V cordless glue gun for £15.99

It works very well indeed. Ready to use in under a minute. LED goes from red to green, easy to use. It has a work light that can be turned off if desired.

I actually got a use for it within minutes and it worked great. Very pleased with it.



Since I am now on their 20v platform I also bought one of these drills on ebay



I took Parkside as a bit of a joke until I bought a job lot of tools which included several new 12v Parkside tools and batteries etc. I have been using away at them for about a year now no issues at all very happy.

See thats a performance range black one, the green ones from the shop are pretty ordinary, I've had 2 fail / replaced.

It was £59.99 on fleabay from a private seller in Belfast. New sealed. That was the best price I could see for it I think they *might* have been dearer in shop.

It'll be my first brushless cordless drill looking forward to trying it. I also ordered 2no new 4ah batteries on ebay for it. Cheaper on ebay than in Lidl this evening! £30 each in store or £18 each on ebay.

The performance brushless multi tool is excellent, that range does seem to step up. The drill should be good
At £20 for the green ones, almost throw away, but I do give them stick
The performance stuff is rarely in England stores

I picked up an evaporative air cooler from the local Facebook recycle group, that has a drawer for water and an optional ice pack. The lady had trouble giving it away in October, seems as if everyone had forgotten how warm it was in summer.

If it doesn't have a provision, I've found that sticking a bowl of water in front can have a small cooling effect as the airflow goes across it. Probably less so for a narrow tall fan.
