Then I've bought those this morning at my local Lidl
The ones with the handle are 200-300-450-600mm long
The regular pry bars are 600 and 900mm long
Always good to have them hanging around.
Just in case you need to move something,to have little bit of persuasion to force situation to a split or if you have to do some Bulgarian actions...
Now seriously the shorter ones are very useful if you work on car mechanics like suspensions etc

I have those parkside bars. They are allegedly hit through.

They are not. The metal disc in the handle is just that.

Ask me how I know……..

That said they are a good set of bars. Mine get daily use. Even the ones with busted up handles

Went to a collective farm sale this am,they hold two a year,helped by the weather it was packed.
Got this spreader as I’ve lots of grass seed to sow,looks about 20 litre capacity,

all for £6.40!

Great find at the boot fair today a good condition B&D workmate 300 for £5, including nicely made mini swivel vice.

It also came with the two grey perforated panels in the pic but I have no idea what they are for.

Ditto but is it me or is the hooky bit the same thickness as the workmate top? And the hooky bit to lip distance about the same as workmate depth?

Like you put them on top (upside down to picture) then wind the jaws out to grab them?

Work platform maybe?

Definitely they are not made for standing on. I can't see them being anything to do with the workmate, just can't figure out their purpose. The dimpled holes suggest a shelf but the hooks leave a hole for stuff to fall through. There's no holes or features for wall-mounting. The hooks are the same distance from the turned-up lip on each and the shorter one has a cut-out in the down-turned lip where the longer one does not.

Bit of a mystery.

Those are what slip over a rung to hold them in position, when you're using the steps as a platform.

Oh just to add I've got no use for these platforms so if anyone does they are here for the taking.

Long reach pick set after the shorties let me down yesterday and one impaled my foot.



Also took a punt on a cheap vacuum sealer £26 which got decent reviews (for food)..
Idea being to preserve sealants, paint, expensive adhesives etc better.



It came with some bags, but also got roles up to the biggest this machine will cope with 28cm - will do 1ltr paint cans etc easy as well as long stuff like sealant tubes. It's tough stuff and not easy to cut, used a scalpel for first trial



Got to say I'm pretty impressed, sucks like a wee Henry and gives a tough seal!
The bags tough material, can't see them letting go unless they meet with something very sharp.

Picked up a little 18x12 surface plate.
No idea what the best way to clean this is without doing more harm than good, although I've no way of telling how flat it is to begin with.
Still, I assume going at it with the DA would be a bad move!

Looking at that I'd get a wire cup wheel from screwfix and have at it with a mini grinder. It won't change the physical dimensions but it'll bring the surface up nice. 5 minutes work and you'll have a working setting out plate. A rub over with a fine stone might even render it good enough for normal surface plate duties.

I've probably got a cup wheel somewhere, got a cupboard full of that kind of thing.
I may have enough citric mixed to soak it in too. I'll probably gently scrape the bits of paint off, soak it, then see where it's at.

Mix citric acid powder and flour with minimum am out of water to form a stiff paste.
Apply and leave.

The with scotchbrite on a decent size bit of wood polish.
