Do you ever take our the old Formica covered thick ply tops . Where you could cut four 9 inch wide x 30 inch long strips off it ?
Same bullskit when I was doing projects at a government funded facility in the late 1970's. As an example, we would do such things as put in several hundred feet of visual barrier in an aircraft hanger for security reasons, then tear it all out a few weeks later, and build it back up again shortly afterwards. The reason being, that in order to get more money for the next physical year, they had to use up all the monies allocated for the current year. Yeah, wasted taxpayers money; but then again, these make work projects provided gainful employment for many. This was one of the many items getting thrown away at my College today "cos we've been told to as it's nearly April (the next financial year) and we have to budget" Sorry?
Plus, "the blade is all rusty" (No, it's really not. It's next to brand new)
Frustrating, this is taxpayer's money we're talking about
Multiply this by X No. of tech colleges across the country...

A few cores, always used on hammer action, can’t make them cut on rotation only.
thats a victory
Yes tct,@MetalMonkey ,I only bore blind holes. Are they the Tct ones? Think they're meant to be used on hammer. At least the armeg ones I have are.
Sometimes if a dept doesn't spend all it's budget by the end of a year they don't get so much for the next year. Crazy but as far as they are concerned it's not their money. GRRRRROnly a fool throws perfectly useable stuff away in the false premise that it is tax efficient to spend all the budget when a new different bit of kit might be purchased instead
( Lloyds business mentor teaching my wife I the ins & outs of running a SME )
Yep, found this before - but we bought other new stuff, and didn;t throw any old stuff.Sometimes if a dept doesn't spend all it's budget by the end of a year they don't get so much for the next year. Crazy but as far as they are concerned it's not their money. GRRRRR
Wahhhhhaaaa!
If that is the standard arbors not the quick release stuff I got roughly the same size range from Screwfix just before the first Covid lockdown .
My High end kitchen fitter mate always wrote his older routers & saws etc off to scrap in the late march , used the so called tax perk to get brand spanking new gear as to him a dead router or saw bench was several thousand pounds to rectify and make up the lost time . I purchased quite a bit of well used by a decent tradesman kit off him . His son who was 16 at the time pushed the rest out onto eBay at good prices .Yep, found this before - but we bought other new stuff, and didn;t throw any old stuff.
