It was a rubbish picture, with a rubbish camera, just to see if anything came out of it.
I can't claim it was anything like Prokudin-Gorsky.
That's probably the only existing pic of that tree in full health. A couple of years ago it got blighted with something and now it's just a skeleton.

As far as I am informed, the old stocks of the USSR, with fine-grained carbide (and the quality mark of the USSR), are now a rarity. Most likely, these plates were produced in Ukraine. They are available with and without false labels. I got 3 sizes with sharpening for 8 edges without a brand and some documents about the origin. The sides are mirror polished, like old Soviet plates.
Tried it today didn't go well to start with but after a while I learnt the knack and was soon hauling out the nails.

All the sandvik scraper tips I've ever seen were almost a mirror finish on the faces. That looks like a dull finish. Do they do varying grades for scrapers?

Cool, when we were growing up my parents had one! Had it for 17 years, lots and lots of fond memories, and I learnt a fair few swear words from my dad as he was trying to make it work or get it through an mot!

A couple of sets of small King Dick combination spanners, one metric, one AF. Only issue is that King Dick don't put any makers Mark's on their small spanners, normally not an issue but as they are ceasing production as the last British spanner maker, it would have been nice for at least a logo.
Also a bag of powdered sulphur, tomorrow I will be following @The_Yellow_Ardvark instructions to fit file handles.

These look half decent and for 17 quid a set, worth taking a risk on. Some of my Britool spanners are well shoddy, but I suspect they are counterfeit.
