about £25-30k those bema grinders here. very expensive. maybe cheaper in europe?
I just saw Stefan Gotteswinter's machine presentation and I'm still electrified:
I was alone very happy to have a
a) small,
b) affordable machine
c) very close to me and
d) from someone I know
e) found and even
f) got it.
And now I learn only through Brad's hint, what a hot piece this is .... the seller had definately no idea and he is a pro.
About the price:
Stefan tells in the video that the base price of the machine is just under € 30,000.00 plus tax.
In a German forum he also presents the machine, does not mention a price (envy is a devil!) but mentions that he ordered the following basic and optional equipment:
- The surface grinder
- Underframe (The machine can also be used as a table machine)
- Heidenhain ND7013 digital display with glass scales
- 5 wheel flanges for 20mm hole
- SAV magnet 200x100
... and he says: "all quite expensive extras, but fortunately only a few" - all in all he will probably have put down about 50k€ with tax ...

I still can not believe that I have such a close ancestor of it.

Granted: I still have a V-guide next to a flat guide for the table movement, not these fabulous linear ball guides (No talk of moving the table with one finger like Stefan, I stand in front of the machine, both hands on the table handwheel and have to move slightly around the bellows to feed or, like the day before yesterday, do the job together with one of my sons - it's fun and fast), no swiveling head, no thought of digitization and at least one working life the machine has already covered .... but it is at home with me.
