Cousin got the small Gys for car work, after we pestered him to get it. It's really really good. It's rare he has to get the gas bottles out now, the induction heater does it far better for the small nuts and bolts on cars.

Induction heaters are invaluable..I have not found anything my S&P 1200W cant heat up and release yet and no risk of fire in tight spots under the car or engine bays..Even better now i make my own coils.

I've got a 110V Sykes Pickavant induction heater - or at least, it's got a sticker on it that says that.

Good for all sorts of things. Wind your own coil around, or inside, to get things hot. I've used it to fit bearings - coil inside and warm up, much like a proper bearing heater, just without temp control, so care needed.

The ‘stand’ is intended to be set underground round a water cock so the top is level with the pavement. It’s been repurposed and is missing the circular inset lid.

Does appear to be a proper PLL induction and interesting the inductor heads are all single turn rather than many turn coils. Great for access.

I'll have to get my cheap chinese one out this week, never tested it properly.

As do I (but not after every use). I find the cutting fluid/oil plays havoc with the vacuum hose....
