Got an Evolution mitre chop saw, very impressed with it, when locked in position it’s very steady with no movement.

Used it to cut some angle iron to make a base for some large metal cabinets, to sit in, onto that I’ll weld on wheels so the cabinets can be moved when necessary.

Just need to try to weld it together now to make something usable without making a mess of it

If you can justify the initial costs, you never make a mistake with tools from Fein.

A published service phone number where someone even answers the phone during normal business hours,
and not the marketing trainee on the second working day, no,
a real technician who knows the products!

Needed a part for an ancient large angle grinder from Fein, no type plate readable on that thing any more, advice from the service hotline:
Take a photo, email it to us, we will identify the unit for you, even if we no longer have the original part, perhaps you can adapt that part from the newer types ...

Today I went to Lidl and didn't buy an electric nibbler. I felt quite proud of myself, but I can't rule out popping back there in the week.

Fill in the internal angles with square plates so you can easily bolt on the castors and set th castors back a few mm from the edges so you can counter sink bolt them on.
I made simple 2 thickness of construction ply screwed together for forms ..it was so easy to slip the inverted angle on them clamp it down then tack weld the lengths up . Very little distortion took place

The "L" bar looks as though it's made to fit the clamp on a vernier height gauge. The middle it is to clamp to a surface orcolumn, and the other piece, I would hope, is self-explanatory.

That's a very heavy indicator base probably to be used on a surface plate

It probably goes with that box of bits. This is probably my favourite bit I got. Bowers of Bradford. Appears virtually unused

Taper turning attachment to offset your tailstock. Bowers. Will be top quality.
