Some 50 x 40 channel that had a slight bend so i used a beam to clamp it to and bend it back into shape, before anyone asks its a T25 van in the background and under the cover is a mk2 astra GTE 16V

Warwick used to make a lot of car repair tools, dollies (No 579), door hinge setters (No 577), adjustable rasps, etc.
I'd say it's got something to do with the motor trade. If upholstery, perhaps car seat covers?
Generally canvas or upholstery stretchers have a much wider and sometimes serrated mouth.

I think you’re actually onto something. I cheated and Googled it and there was one sold called something similar. If you look up generic door skin pliers they’re nearly the same.

I tried to find a Warwick catalogue, just out of curiosity really, but no joy.
