I'd treat the quoted power with caution, even the seller's sites say to use at least the next size up.
Might be ok for short bursts but not continuous use.

Unfortunately I’ve got no idea it was just on marketplace as an oddity but I bet it wasn’t under 40 tonnes whatever it was.

Finally got myself a die grinder.
Thanks @fizzy for the recommendation.

First job is to finish sorting out an old Elwell axe head. It had a crack which I ground out and welded up, but needs opening out a bit for the handle to fit properly. I'll give it a go at the weekend.

You be careful with that. Working inside a tube/hole/port you can sometimes get the cutter running around inside it. Can make a mess of things quite easily, and sometimes even bend the shank. Air grinder is a lot easier and safer in this respect, but make sure to hold it in the spot you want it - don't let it waggle around.

I love air grinders as they stall when snagged instead of dragging you into the work and snapping your wrist

Just got some 8-way WAGO copies, FAKOs if you like! Fresh from the Guangzhou Dangerous Toy & Lawnmower Company.

Not using them on mains, just for my gate photocells.

First impression is they're made from more brittle and lighter weight plastic than the real thing. Shown next to a genuine 5-way. Not sure they'd pass the drop test.

Sure. I've seen similar with a Dremel. I'll practice on something easier until I get the hang of it.

I got a new 0.55kw single phase motor to replace the 3 phase one from my Viceroy polisher but it’s massive and probably won’t fit.

Is there a Morden motor that doesn’t have a massive fan on the back? The new one’s an IM B3 and it’s a good 80mm longer than the old one of the same power.
