I got as much morphine as they could give me and it didn't help so they had to call the surgeon who administered some ketamine, pain soon went and I was talking gibberish but fully aware of it

This stuff is my wife's prescription, not mine but they never gave her ketamine. For the really bad post-op pain in hospital they gave her fentanyl. TBH she never liked either coz they bunged her up good even with the laxatives.

I'm not keen on taking any medication I have to be really suffering before I'll even take paracetamol.

Broke 4 ribs 5 odd years ago, ended up on Tramadol, dribble pills, can't remember three months of my life, was very, very, painful mind.

You can't overdose on Ketamine, unlike opiates, making in quite safe in A&E and emergency situations.

Ex gf was a medic and they used one that did that so people wouldn’t get mental health issues from trauma. I suppose flashbacks of your arm in a baler isn’t nice! Whatever it was is also used by ne’er do wells as a date rape drug. Apparently.

on the topic of hay fever - has anyone had an Kenalog Injection ?

I've tried pretty much every tablet there is trying to find a decent one.... only one that doesn't knock me out if loratadine - but I'm taking six a day instead of one a day


I'm ok if I take them, hardly ever sneeze, can breath ok most of the time.... but as soon as I lay down to sleep my nose blocks and I'm breathing through my mouth all night (snoring keeping the gf awake too)

trying to look for something a bit better, and I'm guessing 6 a day of the one a day tablets isn't good for me long term

Beconase spray is the only hay-fever relief I've ever found to actually work.

All the "non-drowsy" pills, loratadine, cetirizine, think there's another, are ****e, I think you need to start taking them a month before you get symptoms too. I'm not convinced the chlorphenamine does anything, not noticed it making me drowsy either. Sudafed spray sorts out the blocked sinuses but makes my nose run like a tap, which if anything is more annoying than it being blocked, it does nothing for ichy eyes either, and you're not supposed to take it continuously. Local honey is supposed to build your immunity to local pollen too, that's a load of BS.

Don't think so, or not for me anyway, it made me very aware of what was going on, well both of us as I was hovering above the bed saying some weird things and then the me that was lying on the bed was apologising to the nurses for what the flying me was saying. Nurses were in stitches.
