Hi all.

Some time ago I presented a solution for tightening the QCTP on the little Myford without changing the setting with an AXK1024 axial needle roller and cage assembly .

However, the exact dimensions of 10x24x2mm later turned out to be a problem:

Only the height adjusters of the original and the best rebuilt Aa holders can get past the 24mm washers and the bearing.

I then unscrewed the height adjusters from the cheaper tool holders.

Of course, I was not satisfied with that for long ... there must be thrust bearings with an inner diameter of 10mm that are not quite 24mm on the outside ...

Yes , there really are: they are called miniature axial ball bearings F10-18M-M 10x18x5.5 mm -

- and they arrived today:

Here is the direct comparison of the (not yet very) old and the brand new bearings - quite a difference:

Looks much better right away:

Why do you need the thrust ball bearing?

To reduce the friction between the clamping sleeve with which I tighten and the inner part of the tool holder as much as possible, so that I do not change the setting when fastening.

The charm of Multi-Fix is that the angle of the actual die holder can be changed independently of the fastening. You only get the full benefit of this if you don't accidentally change the setting when tightening.

I got some more rust, some glass and some stuff.

The box, the instructions were not follwed by the friend who gave it to me.

The contents are as I pulled them out.

There is more.

Some bits will remain with me.
The Primus spanner, the bike spanners and the RAw plug drills.

The rest will be used in MIS etc.

The same gentleman also gave me these.

I was also lucky enough to nab this bundle.

I have something similar, but bigger.

0v to 3v and 0v to 150v meter.

Another box.

This was snapped up very fast.

A complete set of weights.
The calibration certification is dated 1976.

I missed the courier today, so it's coming again tomorrow. A 6.2kg shot put.

I hope it will make a nice metal shaping tool. Something to bang sheet metal against. Seemed cheap enough to take a risk on it.

Rummage through my bins of spares to see if it can be rebuilt.

If not, kept as spares for MIS.

Got an email from Zoro yesterday saying these would be delayed until 17th March, they turned up today

A new anvil.

Supposedly 1790-1820. Wrought iron and welded steel face, same as my other. This one has a smaller horn.

Rings lovely. Has a makers mark but too pitted to make out.

Heavy, but I can lift it. Maybe 70-80kg. I will weigh it when I can.
