WEll today this arrived, i have to thank@fizzy for intervening and ensuring it arrived when I had help to get it off the pallet:

Well thats me £150 lighter in my wallet.
But The Royal British Legeon are £150 better off.
A few weeks ago a long time friend shoveled of his mortol coil. It was always agreed that I was to have some of his kit and we agreed a sum to be paid to his charity..
I was not expecting the box he ha set aside for me.
Each item/s was boxed in it's own box, with a number and a letter for me. Plus a whol bunch of photos from another life.
Box 1.
An Odd mix yes. but with good memories.
The old 4.5 mk6 Test meter.
Old fashioned tape measure.
CK imperial Allan keys, great to dismantle the M60.
Castrol Grease gun, MOD stamped to boot as well.
The little Allan key below is of german make.
A broken slip stione.
Plus a 1/4oz Banfield weight.
Box 2
A Mitre guide.
Nice bit of kit, does need some TLC.
Another AVO, again ex MOD. This one was part of the 40/60 electronic kit. USed to test the fuse setting machine. Oddly after the 1960's was never used by the land forces but HMS Ferlous still had Bofars with the capabillity to have timed AA shells.
PITA to set up.
Box 4.
Minimax brass Fire extinguisher..
Very usefull for dispensing Ox Blood fire retardant on the Bucket of sunshine lot in the 1980's. Made them easy to spot in Guzz. No good for putting fires out.
Box 5.
What looks like a Cornish Tine mine railway lantern. It does yes. But the tank is a give away. It was used during the war in the RNAD Gosport Bomb railway. This was in use right up the the Mid 80's.
Box 6.
Our Last restoration together.
Box 7.
Almost brand new, used to sit on a wardrobe and was never used.
Elec. tape and tisue paper was good enough.
Box 8.
A plastic green container. I suspect a few may reconise it.

A nice Mp42 field cleaning kit.
A lot of memories, but they will be used.
The miter guide will be restored.
The rest? we will see.

Got this pen yesterday.
Today I had a good look at it.
It is made from machined 7.62mm Nato and Winchester .308 rounds. Very cleaver.

Just make sure you have gloves and plenty rags at hand, Forbes put plenty grease on the ways to protect them when it was outside under the tarp

.... a set of huge, extremely heavy wooden-framed patio doors and windows for free!
Good old FB marketplace. I'm planning on stripping them down and separating the glass panels to use in a lean-to greenhouse.
The wood will keep us warm next winter.

Gives you 380V 3 phase from 240V single phase.
I was going to use it to see if I could use it to supply the 415 -> 110V 3 phase transformer in my old CNC lathe, that is used to provide 110V 3 phase for the tool turret, as that was the main stumbling block preventing me from converting it to full single phase.

I bought a trolley for the new jet wash. I was going to make one but I've too much other stuff going on. Its british made so not made out of old curtain poles with wafer thin tubing. Its pretty chunky and the hose reel will bolt to the upper cross member.
All the accessories will hang up in the barn, I can't see the point of hanging stuff from the trolley. They invariably fall off as your dragging it over the cobbles or up steps.
