I’ve never had much to do with it. There’s one Sealey dealer here but his prices are high. It’s cheaper to buy Teng from the other guy.

Thing with truck tools is it’s a balance, they need to be cheap enough to risk breakage or going missing and good enough not to let you down when you need them.

normally buy them on ebay, but there's a tool guy comes around with the same stuff

tbh, now I'm typing this out I don't think I've killed/damaged any of my uspro stuff and I'm pretty hard on tools, the impact sockets stand up to the big milwaukee impact driver and I've seen plenty of snapon sockets split by them

90% of the time when I'm fixing stuff it needs doing in a hurry so I'm more concerned about getting the job done than looking after tools, so there's screw drivers used as chisels, sockets battered onto stuck bolts etc. etc. and the USPro stuff has taken it all in it's stride

I’ve not used their stuff apart from a 21mm socket that lives in my truck for the wheel nuts and that’s been used about twice, and I also have a power probe of theirs. I know there is a bit of marmite-ness about power probes but as a way of poking voltage into a circuit to test it like trailer lights etc, it’s fine and sub £20 I don’t worry about it too much

The Amazon Ginour lid arrived. True colour with side windows. Looks a very good design, light weight. *Have not tested welding yet* The lens is very good, 100x better than my old cheapy. Light is shade 3. Dark is 5 - 13
I may be prefering this cheapy over the GYS Alien! If it arrives..

Couple of minor annoyances - the headband looks a good design and feels very comfortable when on but may need adjustment. It doesnt move down enough for access to the controls,
edit- amazon video shows how to adjust it, sorted. Which are hidden right up the top behind headband. Better if they were below and easily accessable. I rarely mess around with them, so not a big problem I think I will leave it shade 11, highest sens, longest delay and never touch it again if anything like the old cheapy. I should have upgraded sooner! Thirty three pounds!

This job will have to wait, as the next job to be done is to weld on the mounting lugs/ankle protectors for the power hacksaw trolley and then paint it with red oxide.

A banana shape type wedge is what you want for removing a gib key. Point at one end, with a widening taper whilst having a curve. Unlike a straight wedge, it'll keep roughly equal pressure on all of the key surface.

Just a quick, unrefined sketch. You'd obviously want a smooth curve.

Only one I've seen was handmade. Don't think they were ever a manufactured item. I borrowed it from a friend.

What do you make of that sealey stuff? Not really used it for one reason or another but it’s cheap enough for a truck box.

I have a Sealey Premier socket set and some screw drivers cant fault them really nothing has broken
