What do the two thermostats do? Is there two heaters in there?

Is one a temperature the heater kicks in and the other when it turns off?

(no idea that’s just a guess?)

One is for melting initially, and the other for 'holding' - the switches selects which is in use.

seem nice quality and spring loaded , and today I picked up a life times supply of filler wire

5 x 5kg packs ER80S Ni1 2.4mm

i think i'll offer some out to any members near to me , post would be problem for long lengths. @doubleboost

Silly but genuine question, but if you use those why put the protection wax on? Or are they going to be sold on?

Had a right result and picked up a wax melter for coating tools.

SEBA make the wax pots for Kennedy that they brand up as Red Hot Dip.
Worth looking under candle wax melting regularly if you're after one.

Used to use one to dip stud ends in where the rest of the assembly was going in concrete. The concrete & asphalt guys could get crap all over and all we had to do was peel off the wax later. Kept the threads lovely and clean.

The drawer above is all HSS and full of my more commonly used cutters.

Believe me, I'm still missing the size I always seem to need, it must be another case of n+1. The other day it was 3/16" slot drills I had none of.

Get a CNC, don't need so many sizes of cutters
Want a 10mm keyway but only have a 6mm cutter, not a problem

I would never have a manual mill again, CNC just so easy. A lathe however, CNC is nice but I would never be without a manual lathe.

When I did my first CNC it was a manual Bridgeport that I converted. I was adamant I would keep the handles as I reckoned I would use them a lot at least for a start. Chopped them off within a few days as they were a danger and I never used them.
