Yup. We had a few when we were younger, we didn't look after them but we had a lot of fun with them!

I couldn't afford a madly overpriced 205 GTI, but my 1.9 turbo diesel is 91hp, not far off in the real world, with more flexibility through the rev range, and the 1.8 N/A feels close to that. Anyway not arguing, each to their own.

Those Halfords ones look great value!300nm torque wrench. I got a gift card from the guy I helped last week fixing the truck so I bought this for myself. I have been needing one for a while

They are, this is my third haha. The other two are smaller though. I realised after I bought the last one that I couldn’t torque my vehicles wheel nuts which has been bothering me.

I was looking at them a while back, I’ve got a few of differing types (a cheap Lidl 1/2 inch one and some smaller decent brand secondhand ones I’ve picked up) but these always looked good for the money - if I was buying new they would be hard to look past I think.

They’re 1” on the trucks for wheel nuts. This is for my own vehicles.
Definitely worth picking one up. If you have a Halfords card it’s even cheaper.

I applied a few years back for a trade card and had an email back saying to go to store and pick it up (i think I just emailed them a copy of my HNC from apprenticeship) but never did go in and collect it. A good reminder to go and get it sorted!!

Very good reminder. I paid £84 for the torque wrench which I think is normally £105.

Those engines go on for ever. They are really good. My dad had the pickup which I think was a 305 but the same base engine as far as I know. Worked hard and went for a lot of years.

You can't have too many. Saves a lot of time ******* about. I had to tap an m6 hole out to m6 and make a step down stud from m8 to m6 the other day to fix a part. m6 helicoil would of been much quicker.

I have thread insert envy 
Seeing the helicoil box, I remember now why the their specific insert tools are better than anyone elses... those shaped tools guide the insert into the thread so much smoother and more accurately than the ones with just a slot in the bottom. Almost impossible to break off the tang prematurely, too.
