No it wouldn't to be fair. You just need two momentary foot pedals one for advance and one for retract.

Or you could fabricate a rocker pedal like the enerpac ones with two heavy duty micro switches and a few springs.

Colin Furze did an interesting electric pump build on his shop press. Too much money for my level of use, not to mention the mechanics of it all.

I expect to be swapping between the air pump and hand pump anyway for delicate stuff and broaching. Just swap a hose connection and bleed the air out I hope.

If you invest in some of the Enerpac style hoses with the quick connects you won't have to bleed

I've just watched his video. Not a bad job there. I doubt him welding around the cylinder did it any favours though. If it was round before it certainly won't be now. His replacement plate was also rather thin compared to the original.

Set a Havahart trap to catch a possum (for long distance relocation) frequently carping in my barn. Made the mistake of setting it too close to my boat. Long story short, possums don't have stripes down their backs.
