Today I acquired a new backlit keyboard for the cave pooter letters/numbers had rubbed off the old keys and I am not qwerty literate

Me too. I contact them and give them a chance and if no still I take my business elsewhere.

One bloke I will recommend is welly welding. He takes it to the post office for me for a tenner rather than the £35 his carrier wants. Rob from Xtremeplasma is another

One of those things you tend to have but hope you'll never need... a new dash cam, having lost confidence in the one I've had (Nextbase 412GW) for a couple of years; it never seemed to record anything I wanted to see; the manual for it does say that you need to format the SDHC card regularly for stable performance but luckily never needed in an accident or emergency situation. After much swithering I went for a brand new model; Garmin Dash Cam 57 from (can get a 10%discount) Halfords; ordered Saturday evening and arrived a few hours ago (Monday) by DHL. Its tiny in comparison, much easier to navigate and use and has an Android app for instant footage viewing.

Not at all! They're £150 rrp but through working for the council I can get a 10% discount so £135.

A lady was cleaning out her garage of a variety of gear and listing them on the local Facebook recycling group, i.e. free tools. I wasn't greedy, I put my name against a tub of taps & dies and left the rest.

When I went to pick them up, on the way to the pub, the lady said that I can have anything remaining if I want it as its going to the tip first thing in the morning. So I just said I would have the lot.

I wanted some more chisels so the kids can use them instead of my Sorby's. The no4 plane is in excellent condition apart from a little surface rust, and you can't have enough drills and files.

In with them was this tin

no description or writing other than what could be H/141-, or could it end in 4/- i.e. 4 shilling? Could be £1 -4 shilling?

Inside there are what look like feather boards that you use to push timber against a fence, but I don't think that's what they are. I'm probably being really thick and will kick myself when I find out what they are.

there are different sizes and slot spacing. The only other thing I can think of is shining light through them to get interference patterns but I'm probably overthinking it and they are for applying tile adhesive Any ideas?

I think music box ones would need varying length prongs on them (progressively cut deeper) or the tune would be a little monotonous.

Today I acquired, a 2.6 ton rated twin axle trailer.

That's going to help move the lathe, mill, band saw and the rest of my accumulated toolidge, without hiring things in the future.
