Today I got an oil drum - a 60L baby drum and mounted my oil pump in it. Total cost of project - $15! It does work but I don’t need to use it. It just makes the workshop look more like a workshop!

A little haul I acquired at the local car boot sunday .

A couple of new 12.5 drill bits a few mostly inperial spanner mainly gedore and elora a set of moore and wright imperial feeler gauges still in wax paper and a few other lumps of steel including an unusual star ended chisel all for less than £7.

Also,some new leashes and proper nuts and screws for our bodyboards,the boys have 1 each now their bigger and bolder,no more making do with steel bolts and mudguard washers plus baler twine.

Just acquired a spare cylinder head to have a go at porting. Probably won't get round to doing the work till winter, but it was cheap so thought I may as well get it ready for when I have the time.

Howards had BSA engines, would love one of them. Get a Ransomes, they make you love life again even if they are a world of problems! Time is running out, play with petrol powered machines while you still can!

Cheap "Percussive therapy" gun.

The ball reciprocates, you press it into sore muscles and it's supposed to relieve soreness. It's better built than I was expecting for the price but it's pretty crap. It has no torque at low speeds so it's really easy to stall, and the high speeds just feel like vibration more than percussion so it may as well be an, ahem, magic wand. I think the main problem is the stroke length is only about a a quarter of an inch, the expensive ones are more like 3/4" to an inch. Unfortunately for the price of an expensive one, you could stick lacrosse ball on a Biax scraper . I think I'll send it back and get an attachment for a jigsaw (And the jigsaw itself ), should be more powerful with a longer stroke.

Id always thought it was a pseudo-ad for the magic wand you speak of when I saw it on Snapchat pile of crap from China, what to expect...

What is not shown the damage to the side. It must of been dropped from a height.

You can see the damage to the front forks, the seller has got back to me. He has sent me the images from the site. It is clear the forks are straight then. 48 hours later after the PO got their mits on it. They are not.


There is lots to do to this Mamod 1961 Roller, but I knew that.

This version was made with Nut and bolt assembly.
This is going to be fun.

Parts and spares are on order all ready.
