Nah, that scale is Colchester Student size I would say. When I looked this evening and saw the 175mm travel it rang alarm bells right away as it seemed way to small, centre height is 7.5inch so 7 inch travel wouldn't work for that.Who made the cockup there?
Btw, that manual's not just doing the typical blokes thing, is it?
Honestly, it's 9".![]()
I'd spotted those on the allendale site and wondered if I could use them on my Boxford. For a Myford something along the lines of these would likely be good. I just bought one for the quill of the lathe, it is in those old fashioned insanity units and decided for drilling I would be better off with one, shame I ordered the wrong orientation one
No reason why not, only issue would be coolant and possibly swarf.I'd spotted those on the allendale site and wondered if I could use them on my Boxford.
Connected things up and maybe it will work but it will be tight. If I fix the rod at both ends then I will have to get it spot on or at least within 1.5mm, if I fix just a single end then I will have about18mm spare for positioning.Nah, that scale is Colchester Student size I would say.
