would it not be worth keeping as is ? a good project to strip and rebuild ,some new retro m/guards and tyre's

I have no immediate use for them, but will eventually.
I got this American made imperial wire stripper on Wednesday amongst an assortment of stuff that was being disposed of.

On Thursday my new Knippex 71 41 200 mini bolt cutters arrived to replace my aging cheap and cheerful cutters that have a small nut and bolt to adjust the cutting depth.

And last, but certainly not least, two of these 11 foot long bad boys were delivered today from the local scrap yard for the sum of €200, €100 paid in cash and the other €100 to be paid off bit by bit with scrap metal.
I've had my name on these for nearly two years now and the yard's owners finally got around to dragging them out of the ditch where they had been overgrown with briars and nettles.
I have no immediate use for them, but will eventually.
