Time to start on the rebuild of the other engine, so acquired a whirly bit.
I have a fair amount of spares, including a good crankshaft, but it got submerged in the flood and it's not felt right since. So, I bit the bullet and got a relatively low-mileage crankshaft via ebay.com for a reasonable price. Other jokers wanted less money for the shafts but wanted to rob me on shipping. This one cost more for the shaft, but has the ignition triggers and a rotor still attached, plus the shipping is less than half of what the others wanted.

in the post yesterday some nice supple rubber sheathed .75 cable ( high end speaker cable ) which i'm going to use
for the switch wire on the CK torch.

I’ve got a wp9 torch to fit to mine and the supplied switch cable feels like twin&earth

Very very little, in the milliamps.

And is it likely to be a 5v signal or 12v ?

I couldn't tell you, it'll probably be different for different welders, I'd imagine somewhere between 5 and 24 volts. It shouldn't really make a difference.

Today received my Transtig 2600.
Described as „untested“ so potential broken.
And it was........

broken.
But I’m happy of this.
Turns out that one secondary diode shorts out.
Just a cut to check it.
Now mousering around to get free shipment.
STTH20004TV1 is in charge.

Error 117 was displayed.

Bought myself some new bluetooth headphones as Amazon were offering 35% off, which brought their price from ridiculous to tolerable. Had some before which are very nice but have never worked quite right. Battery life was never good, often failed to charge, didn't turn off in the case/charger.

New ones arrived and are quite a bit bigger..



Was a bit skeptical but i've tried them now and they're very good. Next up is to check my ear defenders won't knock them out.

In that instance ^ the puncture repair plug would've been best inserted into the car owners ring piece not the tyre...
