My favourite pump pliers on special offer at one of the local merchants so I grabbed a few pairs. Not internet prices but a bit of trade for a local supplier, gave them the grip of Bob test and they held up as good as the rottenbugger ones I have

I've been looking for a new pair of nut kuffkers [1] - I might treat myself to a couple of pairs of those.

Permanently “borrowed” this table saw off my dad. Should make a handy addition for things I have planned. I cut some ply out for it today and put some wheels on the bottom. I need to change them for some with brakes but it makes life much easier on wheels.

Bit odd, I was turning over a border in the garden today and dug up 10mm x 100cm sds plus masonry bit, german make, not an odd thing in itself but I've lived here for 20 years and its definitely not mine!
Might plant some silverline and see if they come up as snap on in spring...

I got this Sovereign strimmer from the dump shop for £7.50,


I bought it as spares for mine as its identical but though I'd run it up. The exhaust had completely failed off so I fixed that thinking that's a result but the flexible drive shaft makes a horrendous racket and theres loads on bits of melted plastic at the bottom of the shaft
Still, the engine is spot on and all the other parts are in really good condition.

Missing some dies, two of those pins are snapped and the latch on the case has snapped, the tool appears to function just fine. I'll give it a proper clean and test tomorrow.

Not sure what I'll do with it, I've never felt I needed one and not likely to but I was hardly gonna leave in the bin!

Really useful for punching holes for plug welding repair panels on cars. I have a copy one from JC Penny

A small lamp which I intend to give as a gift to my friend. I had to polish it up which took over an hour, there’s quite a lot there.

I like the badge. Ferndale is just over the hill from me, 3 miles away as the crow fly's. The vintage lamps have an internal mesh which in effect made them explosion proof with regards to preventing a flame igniting gas in the mines. Collecting original lamps is a hobby in itself.
