Not a fan of shunts or ducks. I quite like an ASAP LOCK. Don’t like the original AsapId and asap bloody awful things. Especially when swinging and dropping past something asap locks on at the wrong moment.
Rig and duck you can almost free fall great when racing, getting the rope in the wrong direction should be a case of any sense you would leave the trade

I was working with a level 3 with a few ten thousand hours the other day and he said he is starting to move away from the Petzl gear@Brad93 was getting through a rig every 6months starts creaping steadily creeping quicker lol
Yeah purely for work positioning/edge restraintNot designed for descending the grillion sadly.
Duck i like but totally relies on the user letting go of the toe cord.
I would seriously consider something from camp, i have thier harness best abseiling harness ive owned. Always hated petzl harneses

My Petzl Avao harness crap compared to the old Navaho. New Astro looks somewhat better. People raving about the singing rock harnessAll the old school boys i know seem to be moving away.
Look at the time it took them to sort out the zig zag cracking issue.
Petzl avo harness was really uncomfortable, the new one with poor buckles shame really.
