Ive a mate who wont drink my coffee after 11am as he cant sleep that night. I can walkin at 2am after a night out and have an espresso.

I'm like your mate - no caffeinated coffee after 11am (even that sounds a bit late to me!). Probably doesn't help that I like coffee to be rich, dark and very strong (in flavour, which usually also means strong in caffeine). I also can't stand the taste of coffee with even a tiny bit of milk added (which also rules out pretty much any "coffee flavoured" thing like cakes and so on as they usually taste like milky coffee, not like coffee).

I have one (strong) filter coffee at about 9am and then decaf after that, although occasionally I'll stray and have the caffeinated one as late as 10am! It was a great relief to me recently to find some nice decaffeinated coffee as I'd been searching for (literally) years and had never found one I liked as much as the real thing. If you gave me a mug of the stuff I buy now and a mug of decent caffeine coffee, I doubt I could tell the difference.

Normally though, just freshly ground strong coffee made with a filter paper in one of these filter cones (or a collapsible silicone version if I'm camping) over a mug with hot water and nothing else. Sugar in coffee is okay for a change, but generally I prefer it unadulterated.

At the beginning of the first lock down I was the same, so I knocked the beer on the head and got into whisky Enjoy it more, feel much better and lost a fair bit of weight!

I used a V60 for ages but I got a Chemex last Christmas so I've been using that this year. Exactly the same coffee but the Chemex just looks so sexy. Very rarely have milk (Nut milk can be nice) but never sugar. Having said that, if I make something with condensed milk (Say, fudge) I always save a bit to make a Vietnamese-style coffee.

Cant drink owt with out sugar, only half/1 spoon. Danish cold brew if done correctly doesn’t extract the bitter notes from the bean

I've tried lots of different ways of brewing coffee, expresso machines, those stove top contraptions etc. but I always come back to the French press/cafetiere. Easy to use/clean and cheap to buy. My favourite is a stainless insulated one, my main problem was cracking them, this prevents that and keeps the coffee warm for a while.

Lidil have some nice coffee suitable for french press. The Green bag is very drinkable

Yes I prefer the cafetiere....Ive got a few, theyre getting bigger and bigger.......Im thinking of putting a few holes in the dustbin lid for the next one

I buy coffee beans in bulk from Vending Superstore. Usually about 12kg at a time, but a couple of neighbours take a bit from me so I end up with about 8kg.

For my regular coffees. I have a couple of 1=cup stainless steel cafetieres - one at mine, one at mrsEgg's.
I also have a larger (3-mug) (glass) cafetiere that I use to make up my flask(s) if I'm working on site.

Coffee grounds don't neccessarily bother me, so I've been known to just put a heaped spoon in a mug of hot water and leave it to mash.
(I'm told I'm a bit of an animal for that!)

I'm wanting a grinder, but tbh, ready ground is about the same price as beans - and taste fine - so why bother?

I've never got on with cafetieres - always found the coffee a bit sludgy compared to a filter coffee.

I like beans partly because they last a lot longer (I buy big bags and they stay fresh for ages) and partly because I find the flavour better when the beans are freshly ground. That might just be me imagining a flavour difference though. I do also love the smell that comes out when you press the button on the grinder.

I've got two electric grinders in the kitchen. One used to be on my desk at work when I had an office but I now work in an open plan area (when I'm not working from home obviously) so I just grind some coffee in the morning before going into work. As a result of having the one from work and the one we had at home before, we just keep caffeine beans in one and decaf in the other.

When camping, I quite enjoy sitting outside the tent and gradually grinding some beans with one of these things while the water is heating up and I'm coming to in the morning.

I had a Tomtom for my motorbike. It went on ebay within a year and was replaced with a Garmin. The Garmin has been perfect ever since. Wouldn't buy another Tomtom.
