Wrong place, wrong time....

Why cant I fall over thing like this
Someone dropped this off by the bin today to see if it was any good to me, it had a metal tube welded inside but that is out now and it is going to have a new handle fitted and a clean up.View attachment 230976
Very usefulThis may be of help or hinderance.
If anyone has a globe, reproduction, GRP, glass, plastic, they don't need anymore, I have a fake pump that the fake globe fell off of when it was moved to extend the shed a few years ago, and it looks very sad now! It is outside so I do not want to spend a fortune, ………...

19mm thick GFS.. it will not fit in my bandsaw!
What is it?
An A2-4 6000rpm lathe spindle.
I've had a plan brewing for a new CNC lathe for a while, but the build has been hastened due to a slight mishap rendering my current one non-functioning.
Today we got a evolution chop saw on long term loan and i am amazed how well it cuts metal.

Anyang Wanfeng Industrial via Alibaba. They were really good to deal with, in fact probably the best Chinese company I've dealt with, and beat their production date by a week. Were did you get this from?
more light reading.... no gear, less idea![]()
Thanks ill take note of that.Don't let them stay in a damp area. It kills them.
Thanks ill take note of that.
Sounds like they are a good idea but a poor design, a bit like the things you see on shopping channelsA friend gave me 2 to see if I could get them living again.
Damp had got into both motors.
One would trip the main MCB, the windings had shorted out. The rear bearing, under the black cap will also suffer.
The other the damp had taken out the main switch and the noise suppression capacitor.
That made the hair stand up and I tripped the breaker.
