More Milwaukee tools. My Stanley tape measure has kinked and jams so time for a replacement and being a Milwaukee fan boy i had to have a look at their offerings. Tape measures aren’t the most exciting tool but they’re used often.
I like it’s metric only on both the upper and underneath, I don’t use imperial. Big clear numbers so quick and easy to read when I don’t have my glasses on. Finger lock cutout so you can so can stop the tape retracting with just your fore finger instead of having to use switch lock all the time. Magnetic tip on the end of the tape and you can extend it nearly 2.5 metres before it starts to drop.
That’s the highlight of my Friday so far and not likely to get any better this weekend as I’m replacing the kitchen ceiling and lighting.

Got one of those, plus a set of grips, a pad saw, flip out knife and a bag when I bought the M18 Drill/Driver and Impact Driver.

Quality kit to be fair, although the Impact had to go for repair due to a dodgy switch.

Yesterday I got those in the mailbox
Already bought one but wrong size
Notice my small foot (the tile is 30x30cm)
First ones I bought was EU42 and now I can't check the UK size anyway 26.5cm was too little.
I trusted my safety boots and my Timberland shoes for the size (42)
But I got a pair of airmax before check them and they were EU43 28cm
Didn't trust them check Nike sizes chart and 28cm stands for EU 44
So order this size .
The other ones since I couldn't send them back ...
I ended up selling them to my brother in-law
Now I can't recognise those shoes that appear to be AIR MAX but they are not
Nike Air but Air what?

They are not for 70 yr old's apparently ...I dislocated my left shoulder on one of our Wii games , I was a racing car driver with the controller set in a steering wheel . I'm banned from it till the orthopaedic surgeon sees me next Monday .

Ok I'll confess, the shoulder has been knackered for 42 yrs , has always given me problems. Things flared up again in June last year with another serious dislocation , the appointment has only just come through but yes it fell out the joint again a few weeks ago when I was having a race game on the Wii with the family .

My dad, who's been a painter and decorator getting on for 30 years, dislocated his sholder lifting a tin of paint onto a bench.

Don't know much about trainers...

I got to buy trainers because I'm young and was little bit embarrassing going to driving school with safety boots ,I was using my Timberland shoes to drive but are not comfortable , continuing stuck between clutch and brake pedal wasn't the best

Driving through a village today, I noticed what looked like a spanner on my side of the rd. Managed to stop jump out and get back in the car before the bus behind me caught me up.



It cant of been there long as it has no road rash, in fact it looks new.

I found a snapon ratchet spanner on road outside ours its a bit sun tanned but ok not that it will ever get used last month it was a 12 volt gritter of a pickup I found the railway crossings uneven and all; sorts drop off last year a complete cutter bar of a massive combine came adrift and fell; in the ditch opposite

...my van back, along with a bill that moved me to tears .

Took her in for repair last Saturday as the rear brakes were randomly locking on, which caused a certain amount of interesting moments driving through Barnard Castle . All the rear linings had parted company with the shoes, and the brake cylinders had subsequently burst open and were shot, so all new parts fitted, and had the timing belt and water pump replaced at the same time as she was well overdue...

Thankfully I start the new job next Monday and they're very busy so I can earn a decent wage again, but for now I need to seek solace in a bottle of single malt .

What a find!!!!

Riding a bike makes you scan the road ahead for anything that might endanger me. It was a fair distance off, I had plenty of time to double check my mirror, the bus behind had stopped to drop off, and there were no vehicles coming towards me that might of got spooked by my sudden stop and exit.

It wasn't far off a little indy garage. I’m off past again next week, might pop in and see if any of the fitters have lost anything. I hate having one off spanners as much as I hate incomplete sets

Probably/possibly left under the bonnet by a DIY owner [or mechanic who'd been working there ]..finish job...shut bonnet....dash out to road test result of labours....and the rest is history.

Sounds a bit like myself. I’ve recently twice managed to leave the locking wheel nut on both mine and the wife’s car. On mine I was lucky enough to driven about then the next day see it stuck in wheel. On the wife’s car not so lucky as she went to test drive it around the block as put the tools away. Realised the locking wheel nut was missing and on her return it wasn’t in the wheel. Tracing her route, searching the road gutters on both sides of the road I was just about to give up as a lost cause and spotted it on the main road in the opposite direction to where she’d gone.
I’m going to have to start leaving a post it note on the wheel saying “Hey Stupid! Take the locking wheel nut off!”
