Bought this from Blackburn services last night (for consumption on saturday night...) purely on the strength of the label:

But having been sat in a field overlooking Darwen since 8 o'clock this morning waiting for a lift supervisor so I can drop the left hand of these 2:

...it might not last that long . I'm the only slinger onsite but I'm not a climber, and all the riggers are climbers but not slingers, so we seem to be at an impasse... Yet another night parked on the moors surrounded by sheep seems likely .

that is good wine we polished off a few bottles last saturday

Things to do in Darwen...

1. Take a look at the India Mill chimney (well worth a look if you have an unhealthy obsession with piles of bricks) it's a stunning chimney... "you can ride a bike round here" - Dibnah

2. Try to find a pea pie, a guy I used to work with from Darwen used to go on about these pea pies they had there, mushy peas in a pie

I would quite honestly soil myself climbing 15 metres up to sling this mast, so I'm not kidding when I say that my stomach was in knots watching Fred step out over that top overhang .

they always die in the cold months I have 4 fittings out too need to either fix or replace. What LED battons did u fit?

Those lights were dying for weeks before they were changed. But I had other things to plan.

So I fitted 2 x 5ft twin LED battons. 1 x Singel 5ft Batton , all from Screwfix, they are about £30.

Today I acquired 2 Iscar tang-grip parting tool sets and an ER32 collet chuck for the lathe.
I was going to make my own collet chuck for doing small stuff in the CNC, at the moment I chuck a Multisize collet but the ER would be handier. Saw this in the MSC flyer and thought at under £40 I would just be as well buying one.
