I went to get these 1/2” 6pt deep sockets today, and somehow a Koken 3/8 Z series kit followed me home. Can’t say much other than how nice it is to have a really nice set of tools!

That koken stuff is damn nice stuff.
Had a few sets for a few years and actually haven't managed to break one yet.
They do fit tight over fasteners also so help not to round off.

Spent an hour or two this evening going through it with my usual cleaning regime starting with brasso rubbed into the fretboard to lift the grubbiness and polish the brass frets and to lift the marks from the body and pickups, Jim Dunlop lemon oil to treat the wood, fast fret to condition the neck then Mr Sheen to polish the body before a new set of strings. ...............................

Not sure, but I think the Cash Generator shop in Maesteg across from Wetherspoons sells guitar strings.

4 industrial lamp shades off the demo site I was on today, not free as I had to cross the palm of the ganger with £20 but they'll look good in my workshop if it ever gets built....

Decent. I installed two in my workshop and hooked them up with a 200w equivalent LED lightbulb, they kick out the light! Really nice shades.

Today this arrived, my length of rail track from Sam [ @pondy ] Was only uplifted on Wed, so I was expecting it to take a day or two more.

No time to unpack, hospital tomorrow so it'll likely be Sunday at the earliest before I get it unwrapped.

Boring head with bar adapters on an INT 30 or 40 taper
INT 30 or 40 adapter. Internal threads aren't that common, so it's possibly something relatively bespoke.
R8 side lock holder.

*I say INT, but can be referred to as ISO.
Dimensions can be found at to work out what size holder you have http://www.tools-n-gizmos.com/specs/Tapers.html#DIN2080
It's worth noting BT/ISO/DIN/CAT all use similar size tapers, it's just the flange/spigot that varies.

Called up the local waste site to donate a new waxing kit that the wife had never used (still boxed) as they have a charity shop there. Clocked this YAMAHA RGXA2 guitar missing one string and the volume control knob. Asked how much and bartered until I scored it for £37.50. He said he’d seen one used on eBay for £100 but they were obviously there to recycle used equipment primarily and to make some money but still provide a bargain so they’d marked it at £50 but we’re happy to haggle. When I checked eBay they were £700 plus when new and still selling for £240! Result.......not selling though but still pleased.
