There used to be a pub in Doncaster called the Hallcross, maybe still is, probably 15+ years since I've bern there. They had a beer called Old Perpendicular which was a strong ale, but I think it was too close to Theakston's Old Peculiar so they had to stop selling it. About the same time, they had a very strong beer called Saxon's Ruin, if you could drink four pints you got a tee-shirt. They had to stop selling it as there were the bodies of semi comatose hells angels and other bearded gut buckets lying all around Doncaster who tried and failed, ending up rolling around in pavement pizzas.There’s a pub in Beaconsfield, called the Royal Standard. They do a beer, Owd Roger. If you drink a pint you get a certificate
