That's what I did, after I got fed up hoiking a vac around between rooms.
Ex-contract Nilfisks are quite cheap, and they take Henry bags with a bit of fiddlement to the cardboard throat.
It works out well - whenever I can be 4rsed to do a bit of Hoovering there's always one within easy reach.

My Wife just said a couple items came in the post for me today.
Both are "new" old stock items, one is a 40mm Arrand MT2 face mill cutter, and the other a Swiss Compac .0005 dial indicator with a ruby tip. The lube has congealed on the indicator, but that's an easy fix to sort out.

Today I treated myself to a 2.2lb lump hammer from Stax

I’ve had the same hammer for the last 20 years but I split the shaft when I stupidly ran over it!!!

my dad bought me first hammer when I was 16 after I had completed 3 months of my apprenticeship along with many other tools, the hammer was one of the few remaining as the majority were cheap ‘make do’s’ until I could afford better gear.

I think these hammers are weighted just right and you can get a right good swing on it when chiselling off mono bolt heads of the like

Stick a long handle in the old one.
A long handled club hammer is surprisingly useful. Much less unwieldy than a sledge for some aplications.

Today I acquired....... space in my driveway.

Finally sold my hubby’s car. I didn’t get anywhere near as much as a friend was pushing me to sell it for, but I sold it on the eve of its mot test, so saved myself the brake pipe renewal costs, and possibly cv replacement costs, that I knew it needed. Not a huge amount for an mot, but I had planned on getting the garage to do the work, as this is my ‘busy’ time fir work, and I know its going to a good home, and more importantly, I can stop worrying about it lying in my driveway, on my list of things still to do.

I had space in the driveway Thursday. But Friday I loaded the drive with some of my goodies
