Went to Lidl this morning and bought a bunch of stuff
From left to right
A magnetic dish ,I need to don't lose bolts and other things
A flashlight torch ,I need because it's always handy have one and I didn't have one before
Antimicrobial gel cleaner (I often work on very dirt stuff ,as black well pumps and company)
Combination spanners set from 6 to 32mm , bought that just because I don't use them often and they costs 25 euros that is almost the price of a Beta art.42 32mm so ...
Brake cleaner ,to clean and degrease metal surfaces as engine blocks etc
Rust remover , bought just to try if it really works
Silicon spray lubricant ,I found that works very well to protect an make plastic shine
A little mirror and a little magnet both on an extendable rod

Total spent 53 euros

Unfortunately they have butter and I'm intolerant to lactose so I can't eat them ,but I made happy my mom ,my sister ,my grandmother and my brother's daughter that today makes 16 monthsNow, you just have to give us a video of that sound & light show!!

Not train ones but had a set of air horns on a baggy old ford escort, used to frighten the life out of people, there was an ever so slight delay from pressing the horn to it going off while the 12v compressor got enough air up

When I fitted air horns to a Morris Minor years ago, I left the old horn still connected. This meant due to the delay you could give a quick toot, or you held the button down for the full monty. This has just reminded me, a mate went one better, he had a set that played Colonel Bogie, I think they are illegal now.

Mrs TYA was leaving work, when one of the site engineers came up to her and told her he had something for me.
This is what I got.
Nail gun, with spare gas cylinders and it looks complete.
Still not tested yet.

Nor had I until today.
For some reason, 
, the Yanks were very twitchy about cameras, even to the point of making me climb onto the crane and put tape over the rear facing camera on the back bulkhead of the truck. Only that one though, they weren’t bothered about the ones on either front corner or the forward facing one in the top centre of the screen 
.
And I conveniently forgot to mention the built-in one in the sat nav, and kept my Olympus TG4 out of sight in my boilersuit pocket. The MOD in Portsmouth were the same a few years back when I collected some big water pumps from the shed that held the bow section, all 6,000 tons of it, for the aircraft carrier Prince of Wales. No cameras, no recording devices, no this, no that. As if I would . Sadly, I loaded them the day before they moved the section out of the shed and onto a barge to Rosyth. It was either ALE or Mammoet that did it, can’t remember who, but the SPMT’s they use are serious heavy haulers. Iirc, they had 10 axles per trailer, each axle good for 30 tons, all hydraulically steered with full raise and lower capabilities, and a remote control unit that makes mine look a bit silly .

Dopey here thought he'd give one of the wheel bolts a quick spin to try it out. Gave it a quick birl [Scots word for "spin" or "whirl" for those of you darn saarf
].........nothing, still as tight as a tight thing. Then I realised that the weight of the car needed to be off the wheel......
. Gun certainly spins, both batteries are good and the sockets seem 'adequate' for the job. Overall seems a decent enough bit of kit. I'll try when I have a bit more time and energy.
