...for once, a damn good job

Just arrived here, (after great fun at the junction in Lydney, 22 metres long lit up like a Christmas tree, and still the car “drivers” don’t see me
), to erect a mobile phone mast in the car park tomorrow. Arrived in perfect time for the chaps in boiler suits to let me in, and drop the stunning bombshell that tomorrow is steam day 
. To say I’m like a kid in a sweet shop is an understatement .
Already had my head in their machine shop while looking for someone to let me in, but I can’t wait for the morning!!
Edit: And this beats last night’s splendid parking place, which was a farm at the end of a quiet lane near Cockburnspath, just off the A1 above Eyemouth. Loaded a hay baler late on then had a walk down to the beach overlooking Fastcastle Head as it was going dark, probably one of the most peaceful nights I’ve ever had.

Cleaned a silencer box with acetone and never really thought of how much would soak into the wedding, not too bad the silencer just done a very convincing jet engine impression

Make sure you get it on video next time
Yesterday I helped start the removal of a cupboard from a chemistry lab in a school thats just closed. Its 3.5 metres long and 2,5m high and quite lovely. Looks like it will come out in three pieces but they are still quite big which is why no one else tackled it. All day I kept asking where it is going to go, and what they are going to do with it. Long story short, its going in my shed and if they haven't found a spot for it in 6 months I'm ripping out the modern rubbish in my utility room and putting it in there. It would be fab, but I'm kind of hoping they find a home for it as it will be a lot of work.. Does that count as an acquisition?
