'Smith's or farrier's hammer?![]()
Not sure yet, either way the shaft is the wrong one and useless.

How have you fixed the lens to the insideEarlier in the week my bargain Optrel Crystal helmet shell (£18) arrived and today I came home to some gold coated glass lenses so couldn't resist sticking one in and having a wee play in the workshop after walking the dogs - very, very impressed!View attachment 181222

A “Patrolman’s “Fishbolt” spanner. Fully insulated, 36” long, for tightening 1.5/8” square bolts.
Honestly, I have no idea how I ended up with it. Collected a 17 metre rail crossing today, and I jokingly asked the nice rail man if I could have his spanner. Got to the delivery point and found it it in my lifting gear tray behind the cab. God forbid I get stopped in a spot check, if they see this it’ll be Peter Sutcliffe all over again

If I knew how to post a picture, ‘twould be my pleasure to do so. Sadly, I admit to being somewhat technologically challenged where that kind of stuff is concerned.
You could try repairing that pulley with the aluminium solder (durafix) but I would try it first with a belt on as it might work ok as it is. Even a repair with jb weld might work, it will help stop the belt getting cut on the sharp edge.
Thanks.
I think a little bit of filing will smooth it out enough.
The rear pulley/motor is the biggest problem. It wobbles around like crazy. Either the motor shaft is bent or it's the pulley.
Luckily I have a Progress 1 which I can swap the motor out from for now but I want to keep that drill as well.
Could be that the drill was used with the motor pulley loose & it has worn inside. This happened on my Meddings before I bought it, I had to bore the pulley out & make a sleeve.
