Another 2 holes in my face and jaw.
12 stiches.
Non working numbing cream.
Anti-septic mouth wash, does not taste like mint.
But No bill.

So instead she gave me a card to book an appointment to9 have the remains of the tooth removed.

I had an impacted wisdom tooth & had constant tooth infections until I eventually got it removed, so my sympathies are with you.

She probably gave you adult bonjela cream which is not great. If you put some clove oil on a small gauze pad & place it on the sore part it will work much better. You can use a cotton bud either.

As for mouthwash it's hard to beat warm salt water, old school remedy but very effective at easing pain, stopping infection & promoting healing. You have to wait a day or so after surgery before using it so that the bleeding stops & a clot forms.

The mouthwash she gave you is probably corsodal (chlorahexadine gluconate) which tastes horrible!

You may get some ease by holding something warm against your cheek.

Several large vodkas/whiskies. Either will sterilise the area, and although may not numb the pain, you will soon not care (or remember) any more.

Well, despite not aquiring any more suff, I did get me sen' a new oil can specifically designed for the Myford:

Yeah, and did some ironing as well..

Would've preferred one of aardvarks original oil can finds, but it'll do for now.

that oil can wont fit the myford it has the wrong end on it it wont oil the saddle or the countershaft as they have nipples on them

Might be mt3 don't really have anything for reference here. Il measure it up and confirm then pop it up on here for sale. Rather it was used and short of turning it into a 1"shank to fit my capstan it's not really of use.

It is, I checked. Then I found a mt3 to r8 adapter and decided it would be useful one day. Other than surface rust it looks unused. Not a sign of damage on the cutting edges. The price it would cost me to buy new was the other deciding factor.
If I can find or make a mt3 to 1inch shank I can use it on the capstan too.

A friend of mine likes to Scuba dive, as I used to. Wednesday he brought a lump of concretions, what was heavy for it size. plus it was green.

So when I have been awake and able to, I have been unpicking it.

This is what was in it.




1/4oz Banfield Weight.
It taken awhile, but was it worth it. It kept me sane.(ish)

A Paramo No5 5 inch engineering vice for £10. Lots of surface rust and a bit of welding splatter but otherwise really good condition and smooth operation.

I’ll give it a strip down and refurb then move it on as the Record No25, pictured, more than meets my requirements.
