Lock gatesThey used to use African hardwoods on lock gates and things which were submerged beneath the water - I know Ekki was used a fair bit. Amazing really.
Never heard the words " cheap" and " B&Q" in the same sentence before. This was actually yesterday but a delivery date for the new kitchen
In 9 days time
Original person in B&Q said 4-6 weeks for delivery but when we went in to actually place the order yesterday the bloke said it would be just over a week. But we can always delay it if I need to.
Might have to wait a few weeks before I fit it, I'll need to take a week off work but we are really, really looking forwards to finally having a dishwasher (other than me!!)
And to celebrate having to do the kitchen I picket up a cheap track saw from B&Q at the same time.
Have just about finished ours, dishwasher is a game changerThis was actually yesterday but a delivery date for the new kitchen

What's the saw? I'm doing a large kitchen soon and could do with another new tool,,,,
Same as Greg, Titan track saw for 55quid.i managed to get a titan track saw for 55 quid in b&q the other week, at that price i simply could not say no!
Saw was pretty reasonable, on clearance and the kitchen was actually very reasonable, I know a few folk with B&Q kitchens and no one has any complaints.Lock gates

It was my excuse for the tracksawHave just about finished ours, dishwasher is a game changer. Also got a new tool for the job, Milwaukee M18 drill/driver a fair step up from the tired Bosch 14.4v nicad job.

I was tempted to do the same, didn't realize the track was that price. Might stop in again tomorrow.I have to admit i bought 2 at that price just for the extra track in the second box (another 1400mm track is around 50 quid anyway) so now i can do full 8 by 4 sheet goods if needed.
So Is Makita, I swear it is a serious illness.... its too contagious not to be!Buying Milwaukee tools is an expensive habit as you’ll just want more. Having just taken delivery of another of their tools, a body grip jigsaw![]()
yep around 50 quid for a 1400 length (i Don't have the storage for a full length so having another split track is ideal for me). Good news is the titan will work on Makita and Festool rails and vice versa.... so if you ever decide to upgrade saws in the future you will have compatible track! Its all about planning for N+1 in terms of tools.I was tempted to do the same, didn't realize the track was that price. Might stop in again tomorrow.
Thats also very good to know thanks. Fancy the makita as most other things are that flavor but couldn't pass up the price of the Titan. At least if it's future proof I can justify picking up anotheryep around 50 quid for a 1400 length (i Don't have the storage for a full length so having another split track is ideal for me). Unfortunately there is no cure... i have rather happily settled for the fact that you can only get some minor relief by simply buying something else. They put something addictive on grips knowing you’ll want to buy more. I will go to the addicts help group when the wife sees the bank statement![]()
50 quid or more for 1400 track or 55 quid and get a complete spare saw... at the very least its a spare blade which has got to be worth a 5er, that was my very quick justification anyway.Thats also very good to know thanks. Indeed, this was a birthday gift from my father that coincided with him coming to help build the kitchen. I have decided to blame him for any future addiction issuesBuying Milwaukee tools is an expensive habit as you’ll just want more.
