No trailer is something I made from scrap , I also made the axles and hubs. It’s for dragging heavy machinery back to my shop as a big truck can’t get to me

Today did a friend a favour and he said would you like this??
Been outside quite a while (2-3years) but it may be a nice little project. Dragged it out from under the hedge, put fuel in it and 3rd pull fired up.

Circa 1978 Honda hb21,
It's older than me.
A couple of little holes in the deck but I know it's overkill for our garden.

Yesterday a well meaning friend, "Donated" to me. 300kg of wood. Shame it was riddled with wood worm. Some old engine bits and some tools. But one "Gem".


That is some of the wood. A lot of it was Cedar.

The scrap engines.



The rest, well not 100% accurate. Those images are the best of the junk tools. The Long handle pruner and sickle are worth saving.

I wanted some ply for the back of a bench, the birch ply I had was too good. The neighbour turned up with this yesterday from his works, the bottom of packing crates that are normally skipped, well mostly taken home by the employees

They are 5' x 5' 18mm ply with 4" x 2" attached. Took me 15 minutes to liberate two sheets for the workshop, the rest will get de-nailed down in the barn, they will form part of the partition for the new bar area

They are the ribbed nails, I cut most off with bolt cutters, knock the remaining 10mm through then pull them out, works a treat. I'll then get the youngest daughter to drag a magnet around to make sure I don't leave any nails on the driveway...

I take things like this for granted - having a pallet maker/refurb place next door is so useful. Especially when the owner is such a nice generous bloke!

Nice It wasnt till last night watching abom79 on the you tube at the Florida Flywheelers Swap Meet that there was such a vice following I didnt realise they are so collectable

Everything these days seems collectable, all you have to do is put the magic word "Vintage" on ebay and the prices become ridiculous.

Nice It wasnt till last night watching abom79 on the you tube at the Florida Flywheelers Swap Meet that there was such a vice following I didnt realise they are so collectable

More so in America than over here. We have some collectors, but in all honesty, we have such a glut of good old vices over here, they just don't have the same standing as over there.

Never thought of myself as a collector, but over the years somehow I've managed to acquire more vices/vises than I'll ever need. It seems that videos on the net have a way of jump starting people thinking "I want one of those !", and over night prices shoot up through the roof.

Judging by the weight of it i dont think so as has to be best part of 35kg,

So today after another 3 weeks back in hospital, I have acquired a new view, as I have just been transferred to a rehabilitation unit.
Also acquired a small hoist, it's strange when you are putting your total faith in someone else's slinging. Now better understand why customers can get picky when you have there kit hanging and it's not in there control anymore.

The bottom members for the castors spread out at the front when you push a foot lever too, so quite good stability.

Has a mechanism to alter the angle of the two lower arms to clear obstacles while under load as well, will try and get a pic when I can get up and walk under my own steam.
