I know some series motors were made 4x2 for the military, I think particularly the RAF

Only 274 were made and only a very few remain , there were S1 and S3 4 x2 as well again very few survive,
A search on the Internet show the bull bar fairlead is designed for a 90,110 Defender so will either get sold or modified to suit ,

A lot of those 4x2`s had an lsd as standard which overcame traction problems. Nice winch

Most of them are Freelanders with the IRD removed

Googled the the winch , it's a defender fitment complete, it can be made to work on the series, in a quandary , do Isell the whole thing on or break out the welder and grinder , I just knew my bubble would burst , grrr

There's B all on the lathes site. In fact he says that anything pre 1935 is rather rare. I can't see any images that match your lathe.

I Did do a search but couldn't find a thing.

The RAF & Navy seemed to have had a lot of x2's as they rarely needed to go cross country in the UK , there are one or two running around our locality too …..perhaps used for boat launches off slipways . There used to be a few in Holland in the 1960/70's. Saw my first one there in 1969 in Dutch Military brownish green .

Another Vintage Evershed & Knowles megger insulation tester.

This one is unusual in that it is dual range so it can be used for continuity testing as well.

That makes 3 meggers I have, all working perfectly. Probably too many so the Record Minor will be up for sale soon.

I tried some G10 cutting compound on a cloth on the red one & it came up beautifully, the marbled bakelite finish looks lovely. Finished it off with clear wax.

Arrow T55 staple gun, EMIR marking gauge, Stanley No 110 plane, Eclipse No 36 honing guide, Stanley No 151 & No 63 spokeshaves.

Warco branded horizontal whetstone sharpener with a 1000 grit Japanese wet stone fitted. It spins but is missing the water dripper & the guides to clamp your blades into, the main tool rest is there. Not hard to make them & it only cost me £30, the same sharpener branded Makita costs £300!

A log lifter for up to 12" logs. I got lucky on this one, it only cost me £8, there were 2 identical ones later in the auction that went for over £20! I only wanted one for a pattern, I'm going to make a few for the mens shed as we do a lot of green woodwork and these will be handy to move logs.
