Can't find a pillar drill up here for love nor money! and you get one for free.... The injustice of it! Is the taper roller bearing an aftermarket improvement?

I wondered what you were on about with the roller bearing! Yes all Elliots have that design I think.

This is a birthday gift to myself a generic swager and pictures of one of the spanners i got from my last scavenge, now it has been degreased and left in citric acid and wire brushed i can see it has a name on.. it seems to be C&WW and WB on the side, I also got a pair of Wolsley 1500 brake drums to upgrade one of my moggies brakes which are also now in citric acid.

They are a great mod same as the Riley 1.5 brakes but very hard to find same as the marina disc conversion as all the parts a scarce now.

Someone we know has a 1000 that they use for running about, sold to them because the previous owner couldn’t get the disc brake conversion to bleed & work properly & gave up. It turned out the the callipers had been fitted left on right & right on left, this meant the bleed nipples were at the bottom & they were trying to bleed them downwards.

I thought BMC fitted them upside down on a lot of cars as a standard thing to confuse people ..
