Fuel consumption is something I know about very well. Our 455 cubic inch Oldsmobile engine would drink about 40 gallons on a good day's outing.

Just to keep on topic, today I acquired a bit of nostalgia, remembering when gas prices were around a dollar a gallon and a weekend adventure wouldn't leave us eating beans on toast for the rest of the month.

Here's a photo from the sad day I sold the 1973 Miller Jet. Bought the used hull as a shell and spent two years rebuilding it.

It hurt big time, but then as one gets older life moves on to new chapters; having good memories are what counts.

Not quite, especially as there was 12 sausages, 2 packs of bacon, pack of black pudding is the rolls also.
The Mrs and myself are feeling an little bit full now though.

I bought one of the digital angle finders a few weeks back, used it the other day to check the camber on my sons Subaru after he had the hub off. Checked the angle against a plumbob.

Needs a good clean and derust in places. Either repair or replace the fence and sort out something to brace the blade under the table.

Coincidently, coincidently I found my Trend one whilst having a bit of a clear out in the garage last weekend, having gone missing some time after Christmas when I used it to set a taper on the lathe top slide. It needed a new battery which it often does if left un used for a while.

This afternoon I saw my neighbour trying to logging using a little hammer and a ciesel ,I went out with the sledgehammer and the wedge splitter , I did the job in an half hour and he gave me a bottle of good wine ,and he said me
"Thank you for the help "
I'm happy to help my neighbours , nothing better than help someone who is grateful for what you do for him

You certainly didn't waste any time getting it together. Is it wired and running yet?

Na just bolted together finger tight and had a check over it all. Probably going to store the cabinet and build a timber base slightly lower on casters to slide in a bench Will mount the motor in this too so I gain space at the rear and can push it closer to the wall.
Space is going to be very tight in the shed so thinking ahead.
Same for the scroll saw. Will be on wheels low enough to store under the bench.
Router table will be built into the bench too. Not sure what I'm going to do with my table saw yet.

Tracks well and the blade is surprisingly sharp. Tested on some oak turning by hand,

Looks like a nock off of a "Kant Twist" clamp. I'd like to have a few of these. Martek, I'll have to make a note.
