Today I acquired a new skill.

Was given some fresh pigeon and partridge. Couple of the lads came over from the village and I was shown how to breast them

Then I did some

It’s quite easy when you know how.

Cooked up some breast, heart, liver and lung

Was delicious

Should say, I’m a townie, never done anything like this before

Its the best of meat, no steroids or hormones, anti-biotics or other rubbish in it, and it was not reared in a horrible little cage.

Got to say that pigeon fajitas wraps are awesome. Flash fried with some onions and peppers.

Try it, it’s lush. Best bit was the offal

Had the breast with onion and mushroom, splash of rose (all I had) to make a simple deglazed “jus”

If you ever get the chance to try Rook Parm, it's also very tastie. I've a friend who got a load roost shooting, it's just the breast you eat so before they've done much in the way of flying.

I installed a conveyor into a blast chiller years ago in a place the made burgers for a well known fast food place. There was no offal in the burgers, just fat. The fat would come in big frozen blocks from the meat plant, go into a big mincer, with rusk, and colouring, to make it look like meat, and the burgers were stamped out of that.

I got myself one of them in new year, one of my lads got me a gift card and that looked like it might save my other screwdrivers. Only used one so far seperating the head stock on son 2's bike. I really need some small pry bars .

I'm not too shure on why you need to hit the end of them yet what benefit will it have getting a screw out

Today we were moving the morris and acquired a nasty noise in the engine and then it just stopped, after draining the oil which smelled more like petrol we decided it was time to change the engine for a spare.

You are right, took me some going to talk myself into it, but I figure it'll last well as I won't be pushing it past its limits.

Today I got a file handle (for making a deburring tool). I also got some spanners for my collet drills. I've been using small normal spanners to tighten the collets in them, but these are the correct tool. They are sometimes called "Desoutter Keys".
