If it's directional, you'll have to make sure the plug and socket are on the right ends, of course. Efficiency will suffer if they're the wrong way round, something to do with the graviton waves, so Mr Andrews told me.

If you'd read my post you'd know that I have put them on the right way; like hi-fi cable the signal goes in the direction of the writing on the cable!

Yebbut, did you fall into the trap of assuming the direction of the braid arrows is an indicator of the current direction? That only applies in Japan, to their 100V supply.

Only the burn in is directional, it doesn't matter which way round new cable is but once you've used it one way for a while, you can't use it the other way.

You may be laughing but I do make and use directional audio cables. The outer braid/screen is connected to ground but only at the source so they have to be plugged in the right way....

I did a *lot* of research, and the Garrett ace 150 or 250 seem to have the best quality/price ratio - and are incredibly popular.
the 250 has slightly better features.
the only thing to watch is that the control panel is not waterproof. it needs a rain cover, and definitely won't stand to be dunked.

Yup it was bought by someone just before December of my mams friend for £1450 but they couldn’t manage it so they asked if she new any good homes it could go to for free so here we are it’s only 12 weeks old

3 reconditioned ballscrews which are supposed to be for a Chiron FZ12, can't really remember what mine were like so I will just have to wait until I have time before I can do a bit of dismantling to see if they are the same.
Got them for a very good price, probably at least 2K worth for £250 delivered
