yep the same principle as when they burn old road markings off the tarmac...propane and compressed air. ive been playing with this idea for many years now as i was trying to build and complete a roofing torch that could dry a flat roof in a fraction of the time and use much less gas, ive pretty much almost finished it but looking at your vid has gave me a better idea for the torch head that i have now

its still rubbish no matter what. no different from a flamefast setup and no hotter unless you use oxygen not just fresh air

Your right on a lot of subjects Mr sparky but a little compressed air inline with the propane does make a hotter flame front on a roofing torch..i have tried it and it does work mate
have a play around when you have time and see yourself

Have to agree with roofman.
It's like saying a supercharger or turbocharger doesn't work. It might not be pure oxygen but there is a enough in air to do the same job, if it is under pressure.

My web controlled relays arrived from Bulgaria, this is a new model. The last ones I bought were just relays, this has 8 relays plus digital and analogue in/out plus temperature inputs (NTC) and has a 30+ programmable timer and can trigger events on temperature or temperature differential. Plus it can be configured via http and has lots of apps including a phone app. Lovely bit of kit, just need to find time to play with it. It mounts on DIN rail so I bought a 12v PSU to go with it. This will control the heating in the barn and anything I want to switch on and off such as the dust extractor. 10A/250v relays so most stuff won't need anything else.

It was like Christmas for me, well probably better 
First thing to arrive today were some bootlace ferrule pliers. I have the other type but decided to see what these automatic type were like and first impressions are good.
Then a couple of breakout boards for my servo drives arrived, will save me soldering on a DB44HD plug and allow me to quickly alter connections if required.
Then the main box arrived.
SZGH CNC1000TDC control for the lathe.
Looks to be decent quality so far and it even powers up
Did a quick mockup of it on the lathe so that I can see the best way to make the control panel box.

Over the weekend I got a card informing me I had a parcel to collect from Local post office sorting office.
This was odd as I had not ordered anything, brought anything or was expecting anything.
I have just opened it, it was from my friend in Israel. She had visitd a Flea Market and thought I would like them.
So, what did I get?
A battered tin.
Containing.
A Monitor Travel Cooker.
Complete, with Prick and spare seals.
Yes, another steam engine.
But, some here may recall it from their youth
Meccano (Mamod) Steam engine.
It does steam up. But I need to replace the "O" rings.

I had one of those .made a steam crane with it and a cable car from bottom of stairs to the top riveting stuff when a kid

Five metres of directional 2.5mm 3-core cable and 16A connectors for an extension for the TIG in the garage; will give me more flexibility in the workshop.
Don't worry - I'll ensure that the cable is wired up the right way so as to ensure greater arc stability and finer amperage control!

It might be worth measuring the resistance of the cores, ignore the color coding and put the live on the biggest diameter / lowest resistance.
You don't want you currents worn out passing through a small wire getting tired before they do the magic, the neutral isn't as important as they are just the leftover bits that didn't get used

See, when the chap at CEF sold me this directional cable at a mere £65 a metre and the special connectors with the gold plated electrical contacts I just knew that I'd gone to the right place. I just knew that welding and hi-fi have so, so much in common!
