Yep, not much life left in it, D3 is off for 4 wheel alignment next then it's new winter boots are going on.
If it had been one of the new tyres I would have been very grumpy

The other day I got my hands on a lot of old tools.
see a few past post.
My plan was/is/will be to donate most (99%) to MIS. But I am allowed to keep the items of interest to me
I liked this item, due to the Name and were it came from. Old Mils, Great Mills before it was Focus and way befor they went bankrupt.
Metal funnel, with mesh. To go with the smaller one I got. What I liked about this was the date. I can't get a good picture with the camera.
But it is WD broad arrow and dated 1937.
It is soft soldered construction, something I have only seen a few times. After Italy started her champagne in Africa Britain stopped making the funnels with soft solder as in the dessert they would fail.
That's why we stopped using our pressed steel fuel cans, as ours would weep fuel. and adapted the German fuel cans. or just "Liberate" them.
Ours were terrible as Benghazi burners.
Barbour's Razor Stone.
I have had one before, but sold it on.
This one is in very good condition, I will stabilize the tin.
Wire stripper, see my post.
Small Tap wrench. Further notes on that below.
Odd clamps, there is a post about them.

No, not another stripper.
Mole Grip style Insulated Wire Crimp Crimpers.
They do work, but need a dam good clean up. Caked in oil and dirt.
Wire Guage tool for sheet metal. WD stamped as well
Tap seat cutter, was wrapped in Wax paper. But that was rotten and so was disposed off.
Large Tap wrench, big brother of the smaller one above.
That one, the small one and the taps and dies were in a tin. The tin was held together in tape.
The reason I kept them as they are stamped with a Government stamp, kellick anchor (So Royal Navy) a name and a "ships book number. (The last 4 of the Service number)
The British Legion have bean contacted and I wait their reply. I want to see if it can be returned to the family.
@slim_boy_fat The Good twin has been found, you have the evil one.
The other day @slim_boy_fat asked for a Warrenton Pein Hammer and I acquired him one. Of a odd design. So I have now got one myself.
The head is rough and needs attention as well as a new shaft.
Another job on my list.

I have one of those picked up from the boot fair, not in the tin though. It's extremely soft, easy to gouge when I tried to use it. I had no idea it was a barber's stone.

Stamped Lucas on one side and the other is stamped BSA.
Bill hooks (No 4 candle jokes please) One is a "Blades" and the other the name is unreadable, but I can see it is USA Made.

I do like that, don't know why, I have a couple of pairs of CK ratchet crimps which work perfectly.
