Got a bit carried away sprucing up some seriously rusty G-clamps - yes I know its not record blue but its a nice colour and really hard and most importantly, what I had!
Picked up another 3 today in pretty good nick, which will mean I need another No4 to calm OCD

It's a just in case which is why I didn't get the other 2, it was £10 so as a just in case it was a no brainer, there other 2 will be there for a few weeks probably and I'm back there next Tuesday so might get them as well. There were also some big blocks as well but have a source for blocks of Ali.

Absolutely, have been there before and this one I can't afford to lose

Edit, just been thinking about the practicality of doing this

HDD is IDE, I have a BartPE boot disk with all I need on it but my main PC doesn't have any IDE ports and this PC is that old it has no SATA ports and no USB, think I may need to track down a USB to IDE adaptor

You can get an IDE to usb adaptor to connect to a modern laptop. Just remove the hard drive.

Had a root around in my box of computer junk and found a USB to IDE enclosure, now to find a copy of the BartPE ISO I made many years ago and clone the drive

I bet it will be fine to use, the tin looks very retro i have recently cut the bottom and top off some old tins and cut them down the seam and made them flat to use as signs man cave art for a guy who is young and not well.

Clonezilla would be another good choice for that job.
I think I have BartPE somewhere if you can’t find yours...

Seeing I have no training in electronics,I think I have done pretty well to convert analogue signals into the witchcraft stepper motors use. No magicsmoke lost yet either,which is quite remarkable,hahaha.

What control software are you using?

Look forward to seeing the laser in action. What kind of thickness will it do and what are you planning to use it for?
