A Pressol 12602 oil gun, so I can inject high pressure oil into the milling machine. Looks like a grease gun, but it holds oil, and interfaces with oil fittings, which I believe are almost identical to grease fittings, enough that people with grease guns go and put grease in them all the time.

Motivation to go to workshop has been a little low recently, I’ve now got a project I’m looking forward to. Never sharpened a saw before, bought a saw set, need to make a clamp to hold the blade, looked on the Internet, so of course that makes me an EXPERT !

I've got one of them. I bought it as a grease gun, and used it as a grease gun for the past 30 years, nearly.
Otoh, I don't recall any mention at all on the packing or display rack that it might have been an oil gun. <shrug>
It's never given the slightest trouble, but I think the mechanical leverage isn't as high as the definitely pukka grease gun I have, so you may be right.

Its harder than it looks on anything smaller than 14 teeth per inch.
If you grind/file the teeth off you can print the teeth sets off the internet onto paper and glue it to the saw.

Keep an eye out for a saw vice. I think Disston made them and Woden (Birmingham) definitely did.

They do indeed but difficult to come by, my plan is to make a simple wooden contraption that I can mark with guidelines to keep the needle file correct

My dad used to have one for holding saws and knives so you could work on them, and a tool called an Eclipse 77 to set the teeth like the one pictured below

A nice clean 4" Peter Wright. It'll go nicely with my newly acquired leg vice. Now if only I had an anvil, and a forge, and all the tools, oh, and some more room

These turned up today - some are too big for any collets I have but I'll pass those on to my pal in the West who'll be able to use them. At less than £1 each they'll do to get me started. I have a few smaller ones already.
